Summer Bedding Colour for Baskets, Containers and Borders for 2017

Here is a quick taster of some of the very first flowers to emerge this May reminding us there are always new lovely colours and varieties of bedding  to delight us in our summer baskets borders and containers each year.

Note we are open late until 7pm through May and June every day.
Workshops start this week

Calibrachoa trio white blue rose
Triple colours growing together and thriving in one pot of this trailing calibrachoa.

Here is the first in our quick preview of a few early flowers

Nemesia Easter Bonnet

Two colours in one flower make this very special.I would love to plant this with a violet blue purple. and some silver foliage.

Verbena Plum Magic
This is an old favourite magic verbena but what a fabulous colour to go with pink and burgundy in harmony or yellow in contrast or simply white.

Bacopa Pink Eye
Further new colours of the traditional white bacopa. This is a lovely warm pink and blends beautifully with the verbena above.

Geranium (trailing) Great balls of pink
A perfect geranium to add to the mix of harmonious pink above.

Lobularia Lucia White

Break from colour with a breath of this cutting grown trailing form of alysium.

Verbena Pink Magic
The magic verbena series are excellent and this pink is no exception. Add as a trailer to any basket and you will not be disappointed. A splendid match with Geranium Great Balls of Pink above.

Petunia (trailing) Sweet Pink

Rich deep veining in this sweet pink petunia will make it a good match with deeper shades and provide an extra layer of interest for summer.

Ending with a shocking clash brace yourselves for the new Bidens Golden Gory.

Bidens Golden Glory

We all know bidens to be to be reliably and substantial trailing yellow trailers with possibly a little more resilience to neglect. Last year saw a number of new varieties with orange and red shades not just yellow and this year is no exception.Arriving in more compact forms here is the first yellow to flower in the tunnel.
Sit back and watch this space as more bedding plants open to reveal new and exciting flowers.
